Gravity Powered Bookshelf

Designer Leo Kempf needed to practice a new woodworking technique. The art of bending plywood. His design incorporates a piece of hard redwood and bent birch plywood. The plywood fits snugly into corresponding slots in the redwood, removing the necessity for hardware.

The simple angled form of this bookshelf removes the need for bookends by taking advantage of physics. Gravity will hold everything in place.

Oh, and the project looks amazing… can’t leave that out.
